well i have a finished pair to present! i cannot wait to mail these off. i have to give them a good wash and make sure the color is set. but they are done! woo hoo. i could have usually knit 2 pair of socks in the time it took to make these! geez. i had to rip so many times i guess thats what you do if you're knitting for someone other than family. it has to be perfect. or as close as i can get it! i'm sure there are a million mistakes but i don't want to know about them!
i can't believe i'm going to give these away. and i can't wait to give them away! soooo excited!
this yarn is knitpicks dye your own sock yarn. done with koolaid and the help of my friend shirley. oh and i used schoeller esslinger reinforcing yarn for the heels and toes. the pattern is adapted from sockbug's lacy scallop socks. i didn't do purl rows between the lace repeats. i also used a short row or hourglass heel.

Great job on the socks. :)
Doh! I'd be really embarrased to know that my knitting was so poor that someone had to secretly substitute my work. Can you imagine being that clueless?! ;vD
