sockpalOOOza socks complete!

well i have a finished pair to present! i cannot wait to mail these off. i have to give them a good wash and make sure the color is set. but they are done! woo hoo. i could have usually knit 2 pair of socks in the time it took to make these! geez. i had to rip so many times i guess thats what you do if you're knitting for someone other than family. it has to be perfect. or as close as i can get it! i'm sure there are a million mistakes but i don't want to know about them!
i can't believe i'm going to give these away. and i can't wait to give them away! soooo excited!

this yarn is knitpicks dye your own sock yarn. done with koolaid and the help of my friend shirley. oh and i used schoeller esslinger reinforcing yarn for the heels and toes. the pattern is adapted from sockbug's lacy scallop socks. i didn't do purl rows between the lace repeats. i also used a short row or hourglass heel.

What lovely colors you got from the koolaid. I've got some of that Knitpicks yarn just waiting for me to do some dyeing. I can't wait!

Great job on the socks. :)

Excellent socks! Very lucky pal!

Doh! I'd be really embarrased to know that my knitting was so poor that someone had to secretly substitute my work. Can you imagine being that clueless?! ;vD

Have I told you your socks look great, yet? They do! Nice job with the dye, too.

Your pal is so lucky- you did amazing work, and such attention to detail. I hope that the socks you get are just as amazing!
