while driving across the country there is not enough room in the car. period. west texas is more humid than colorado no matter what they say about "dry heat" the alamo is actually kinda boring. if you bad talk the car it will stall in rush hour traffic in some strange city you know nothing about. if you cross your fingers it will start working again normally for no apparent reason. gasoline is expensive. spanish moss is not moss. it's not spanish. it's some freakish form of pineapple. driving 2200 miles across the country takes a long time. when you are supposed to reverse the pattern while you are knitting a lace repeat. actually reverse it if not you'll be ripping out later. movers lie and do not arrive when they are supposed to. air mattresses are not as comfortable as they appear to be on commercials. cheap chinese buffet food gets really old really fast. 1200 sq ft apartments are not cool without furniture. boyfriends think it's crazy to buy houseplant

Gosh where do I begin? I am gonna miss this place so much. Mountains. People. My life as I know it. Mountains. Wow. I am gonna miss my mom so much. I know we fight. It’s not all the time but enough to make us crazy. But we’re close. We run errands together. Curl up and watch movies. Go to the library. Share books. Get up at midnight for snacks without planning. Go to the store 5 times because we forgot something silly. We started crying over silly things all day yesterday. I kept forgetting she wouldn’t be here when the movers came today. Saying things like “we” can pack up the bedding after I ge tup. And “we” will have to unpack those dishes for the movers to see. And then repack them. (No, don’t even get me started on that one) But yeah. I’m gonna miss my mom. I’m going to miss my Boulder and Denver knitters. I have made so many friends. I know there are knitting groups in Orlando. I’ve already joined 3. but that doesn’t mean its

(thank god) the windows get tinted tomorrow. the idiots off craigslist are not showing up for aquariums or tires or airconditioners or snow chains... the paperwork for dave to start work is complete. there is a store that says i can work for them. there has not been a phone call with my schedule. the nightmares continue. the dog thinks we are leaving her. the plants could care less. the laundry wants to get done. i would like a nap. and a beer. and more tim
