wow, i just realized how long its been since i posted! and i swear as soon as i can get the new computer to realize i have a camera, i'll have photos of the finished objects chickami and bad penny. until then i'll be arguing with the computer and finishing up my one skein wonder ! and casting on for rogue tomorrow as decreed by the mhc knitters! better finish grading so i can swatch for that and figure out what needles i'll be using. cross your fingers. i'm terrified of those cables! duchess out!

well i finally "figured out" the eyelets at the bottom of bad penny. what i really did is changed the number of stitches int the repeat to an even number so that the yarn over would occur in the purl row, and changed the order in the chart so that i was always knitting 2 together and then making a yarn over. and wonder of wonders it worked. so its finished i just haven't taken a photo of it yet! i did take a photo while i was working on it though and caught this fishie that was trying to swim away. thanks jenifer these stitch markers are too cute and for the ladies who came over for knit night last week i finally got cast on for chickami believe it or not ribbing is error free and i even have the correct number of stitches. and no it wasn't the margaritas. i tried again the next day stone cold sober and it still took another 4 tries. i think shirley cursed me! i never used to make stupid mistakes like this. thanks hon. i really appreciate it!

well the girls came over and we knitted, and we ate and we drank...and it was fun! and it only took about a thousand tries, well not really a thousand but at least a gopod ten tries but i got cast on for chickami. i think i'll make it as a twinset with the one skein wonder or maybe with the boob holder top but i don't know. decisions decisions. and i'm either gonna make it with a block of purple at the bottom and them use some multicolored artful yarns fable or i'll stripe it i just don't know. but thats all that is really going on. i got some help and i think i ow know how to do the eyelets to finish up my bad penny. and i still ahve theat second sleeve to sew onto my moms sweater but things are going well.

so, i've been working on bad penny , yea i know easy project i should be done. but i'm confused...as usual. There's this cute little eyelet pattern at the bottom, and i can't figure out is is supposed to be done in ribbing too? and if that's the case, why the heck didn't she say so??? that and you're supposed to increase after the ribbing...doesn't that mess up the ribbing, and isn't that an issue if the chart is worked in ribbing? argh! anyone who has ideas please let me know. thanks. i'd lie to finish this top. not that i can wear it anytime soon its sooo friggin hot. and i love the yarn (tlc cara mia) but it's part angora and i think i would die of heat stroke! on another note, i just finished grading the first set of assignments for this black holes class i am grading for...wow that's redundant. and omg. how bad can some people's handwriting be? geez. am i the only one who took penmanship in elementary school? i mean if yo

well i know i haven't posted lately but i've been busy busy busy. on what you say...well. i made a blocking board (necessary for finishing), have been knitting away at bad penny, rescreened the windows at the house (a must as hot as it has been.), and last night at michelle's i almost finished seaming up my mom's boatnect sweater! my first ral seamined project! sooo exciting. other than that not too much going. just work and sleep and work some more. all is well.
